Troy's toys
Here are a few of the toys sitting around here. The blue and white 71 4x4, I bought for the 4.56 lockers. It is just a parts truck (the body isn't as good as the pictures show it to be). The red 71 4x4 truck next to it, I am working on for my cousins husband. It's 350 4 speed 1/2 ton with 3.08 gears(soon to be changed to 3/4 ton with 4.11's). The blue 67 1/2 ton 2wd and primer 4wd 1/2 ton, I sold to a friend of mine next door. The 2wd 67 has the original 283 with 3 speed on the column. The 4wd 67 has 327 4 speed 221 divorced Rockwell transfer case with 3.73's. The Blue 4x4 that looks like a 69 is actually a 71 350 3 speed on the column with 3.73's.

Re: Troy's toys
Here are some more. The 69 3/4 4x4 is my latest find. It has low miles(under69,000) an ungodly solid body. It's a 400 small block 4-speed 221 Rockwell with factory 4.56's with a rear locker and front posi trac. As far as the body goes, it needs a small patch where the footwell and kick panel meet the size of a quarter. It needs one cab corner and both rockers, that's it. I am just getting the bugs worked out of it. It's been sitting since August 2005.
The 72 Blazer I have been working on for my wife. I just freshened up a 400 small block with 98 Vortec heads and an RPM intake with a 750 Edelbrock carb. I also installed a Pete Jackson and a Comp Cams Extreme Energy 268 cam. It has 4 inches of lift with 35 10.50 Boggers on 10 inch wagon spokes. It is also a 4 speed 205 gear drive and 3.73's. The blue blazer tub is for parts for the orange one and will eventually be on the orange one. The 400, the lift and other various parts were used to get the orange one on the road. I have to put another rear end under the red Blazer due to a heavy foot, a little bit of alcohol and too many spectators. LOL I twisted the axle tube out of the rear end and threw the rear driveshaft. The tranny and transfer case out of the Blue one went to 69k10stepside. The blue and white short bed is parts to fix the green 68 long bed. The bed and frame are flawless on the blue and white truck. The cab is still good on the 68 but I twisted the frame and dented the driver side really bad on the bed and destroyed the dog house. (another drunk night about a year ago) Do you see a pattern here? I have a driver side bedside for the bed of the green one. It is going on the 67 without a bed. I have a fresh alluminum headed 327 and NV3500 5 speed going in the short bed project.

Re: Troy's toys
Now, here are my babys. The Chevelle was first purchased with my wife 2 months after getting married. Today is our 15 year anniversary. It is a for real 375 horse 396 Rock Crusher car with 4.10 gears. The original 396 is on the stand waiting on me to assemble it. I bought NOS TRW 550 thousandths dome pistons for it with Eagle rods. I also bought new GM Performance parts alluminum heads that are new castings of the old L88 427 heads that keep me at 11.25to1 compression. I bought the new Performer RPM hydraulic roller cam which specs out at 625/634 on the lift and 244/254 on the duration at .050. The valve train is all Comp Cams. I bought coated Hedman torque step headers and have 3 inch mandrel bent stainless exhaust with the original 2 chamber Flowmaster race mufflers and tail pipes out the back. The intake is the original alluminum with an 850 Holley and complete MSD ignition. The color is Cortez Silver with black bucket seat interior. I am getting ready to order the new TKO600 tranny to put behind it so it is more user friendly. Also Billet Vintiques came out with original looking SS wheels in up to 19 inch sizes. I am going with 17x8 wheels up front and 17x9 1/2's in the rear with sticky rubber to get it to launch. I want it to look factory going down the road until someone gets a closer look at it(if they can). HEHEHE
Now for the 71 GMC. I have had it since I was 14. I am now 35. It started as a plain jain 71 3/4 2wd 307 4 speed truck. Over the years I have parted out about 15 trucks to get the options I wanted. It is now on a 72 3/4 ton 4x4 chassis with 8 inch Skyjacker Softride suspension. The rear end is original with a 4.56 Locker. The front end I have is a Dana 60 with a Trac Lock(right now is still the 44). The trans is (of course)a 4 speed and 205 transfer case and is set up for a big block. I moved every crossmember forward 3 inches for clearance and already have the driveshafts built. I have all of the body and mechanical parts to assemble it, just not the time. I want to be real meticulous about it. Last but not least is my junk yard dog Freckles (named by my daughter Bailey) I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Re: Troy's toys
Of all the pictures I took, I should have known someone wanted to see the Vega. LOL As all of the pictures, it is a work in progress too. I have a rust free body. Then, I have the complete Alston rolling chassis. I will wait for a nicer day for those pictures.

Re: Troy's toys
Some of them are going to thin out in a month or so. I have some free time Thursday and Friday and am going to start working on my short bed project. I hope to have the frame ready to go to the powder coater Friday.

Re: Troy's toys
Well, I have the green 68 all apart and the cab is on the stand to do the cab work. I have the dual tank set up from it for sale on the parts board. I just rolled the blue and white short bed in to strip it out today. I have to use parts from the blue and white 4x4 to fix issues on the 68 cab. If anyone is interested the green 69 is for sale for $4000

Re: Troy's toys
Nice toys! I am looking for a set of 6 lug wheels like the ones you have on that red 71 4x4. Could you tell me what the number is on the wheel, I think it is near the valve stem. I am have a hard time finding a set around here.
Thanks Jeff

Re: Troy's toys
Are you talking about the factory ones on the front. If so, they are available. It is getting converted over to a 3/4 ton. Just rims shouldn't be bad to ship.

Re: Troy's toys
Yep, like the ones on front. I have been looking around here and have checked several salvage yards with no luck. I'll PM you.
