Leak: What is it? Why? How do I fix it?
Ok well I think its transmission fluid, how do I stop it from leaking? It isnt a bad leak, I wiped it down yesterday and so far all that has formed so far is what you see there, it has not dripped yet.

That's the speedometer cable. You fix it by putting in a new seal. Unscrew the cable and you will see the seal.
Oops. Forgot to say it might just be loose too.

Re: Leak: What is it? Why? How do I fix it?
There is a small seal inside that speedo gear-head housing. The easiest way is jack the rear of the truck high and remove the cable then the gear-head housing. Slide the gear out of the housing then stick a small screw driver in place of the gear pushing the seal out. Be careful because there is a small wire ring holding the seal in place on the outside.
They do have tools to remove and re-install this seal without removing the gear-head housing but they are a bit expensive.
