Ok so if you are wanting to lower the rear end of your coil sprung truck, I found a good replacement spring that works great. I lost the springs for my 63 while it sat in my dads back yard for years, in that time I had bought a 2005 jeep wrangler and had lifted it. So when I brought the 63 back to cali I needed to put some springs in the rear, so I put in my old wrangler rear springs. And I was amazed on how well they worked . It sits about 3 inches lower and has a nice spring rate. not only that but stock wrangler springs are one of the most common replaced parts on wranglers since most jeeps get lifted you can find a set of rear wrangler springs for next to nothing! search on craigslist for 97-06 wranglers, And I'll bet money you can find some in your area. I just wanted to pass this along, if you have the money to buy some new lowering springs then by all means go ahead but I'm broke and my truck is a rat rod, so I though some of the other rat guys would like to know! carry on!!!

I'm looking for Wrangler springs as we speak.. I might try Cherokee springs first since I have a set sitting in my garage.. I heard that Cherokee springs are 1.5' taller that Wrangler springs..

2 Questions....

1) Do you know it they or other springs will fit up front??

2) Do they sit in the spring perches or slop around??

I used some Jeep springs in my 67. The only draw back is you can't hau anything with out it bottoming out. I installed some air shocks and it took care of it.

hey did you have to do anything when you bolted those in or were they just a straight swap

should be a straight swap I also lost the spring monting hardware so I just bought extra large washers to retain them in place but the stock ones should work fine!
