What are you trying to find out? There are usually some numbers stamped on the top of the axle tube (can't remember which side) but you have to have a way to decipher the code. If you're wanting to know what the gear ratio is, the best way is to remove the cover and read the tooth count on the ring gear and divide ie: 11 & 41 =3.73
