65 2wd to4wd conversion
What is the best way to convert from 2wd to 4wd and what parts should i look for?

Front axle,transfer case,4x4 tranny,front springs,rear springs if it has coils now,spring mounts,shackles,4x4 motor mount crossmember just to name a few things.Most people look in the 73-87 body series for these parts.It would be alot easier to put the body on a newer 4x4 frame but even then some modification and a body lift will be needed.The 2wds with coil springs have a different frame then ones with leaf springs.The 2wd w/ coils have a bend in the back of the frame the 4x4s and 2wds with rear leafs dont have

it might be easier to get a whole 4x4 frame as mentioned. maybe you can find someone who wants to convert there 4x4 to a 2wd?
