Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
The other day I recieved some Goodmark patch panels for the C10, it was the first time I've bought from them and I have to say I'm really disappointed.
The front pillars are the same cheap ones (generic brand) I bought elsewhere for my suburban, poor fit and aren't even the same shape where they bolt to the front fender. And the driver outer rocker is really bad, I temporarily fit it in place and I couldn't even get the door back on. When I took a close look at the Goodmark rocker and compared it to the Triplus one I had for the passenger side the difference was really obvious, the triplus one had really good definition and crisp bends where the goodmark rocker had really soft bends, ripples along the rear edge and had flashing I had to grind off. When I fit the rocker it really looked awful, totally didn't match the cabcorner and like I said interfered with the front of the door it fit so bad. Definately avoid Goodmark. Ron

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
Goodmark sells Tri-Plus parts, redistributed as "goodmark."

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
They sell whatever comes from the last shipment or is in stock. Just because it says Goodmark, doesn't mean they manufacture it. I will agree that the Tri Plus parts seem to be better overall.

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
I'm actually really surprised at how much TriPlus has been here at the forums really making a concerted effort to touch base with us on what parts to stamp out. It's also nice to hear feedback on how Goodmark is doing...or not.
I hear their fenders (inner and outer) are supposed to be really nice. Is this not the case anymore? and can't you still get inner fenders and some other parts from the dealership? I realize the stealership doesn't sell patch panels, but ... I think there are some other things out there.

Yeh I agree - most of Goodmark's stuff is just rebaged Tri-Plus.
Your other option is "Tabco"

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
I put a goodmark cowl hood on my truck, to get it fit with perfect seems was a joke had to cut both front fenders drill out spot welds and move them all over the place to look originalthe hood was out by almost a half inch from front to back and i had to add 2 more braces underneath cause it was so flimsy..wouldnt refer goodmark to anyone..but i guess thats what ya get for aftermarket stuff nowadays!!hahaha

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
I have a tri plus radiator support and it fit perfect , I had two different rocker's like pictured above the tri plus one on my truck driver side looked a lot better , the front fender patch for the front corner was a good looking heavy gauge part but it was a full inch to short I had to cut it in two pieces lengthen it and weld it back together , fit fine after I did that ,

Re: Goodmark Quality? Very Disappointed
I find it odd, that up until today i've never heard anything but rave reviews of goodmark products, and all of a sudden today nobody likes them...
As jerry seinfeld would say, "What's up with that!"

A lot of the stuff I have purchase from Goodmark in the past has been labeled TriPlus. I have had good luck with Goodmark on my 87 K5...I have not done any metal work on my 71 yet though so we will see what the future holds... Chris
