bumper bolt question
I'm about to buy some bumper bolts for my 78. Should the square part of the shank protrude into the bracket, or just into the bumper?

Re: bumper bolt question
Bumper only, if it went into the bracket you would have no room for wiggle/adjustment.
I looked at my bumper brackets, most holes are round and oblong...so having the square protrude into them wouldn't matter.

Re: bumper bolt question
Make sure and get the high speed bumper bolts. I'm told it adds another 5mph on the top end. .......Just kidding but when I was young and dumb, I actually went looking for these 'special order' parts...............now I'm old and dumb, but enjoying it more!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: bumper bolt question
thanks. I was looking at my bumper brackets and mine are oblong too... so it was a little unclear as too how it was supposed to work.
