tranny cooler???
alright, in going about cleaning up some stuff on the truck, i'm trying to decide on something.
right now i have my tranny cooler hooked up inbetween the tranny and radiator cooler(the fluid goes through both) i could make the engine compartment look MUCH cleaner if i just ran lines from the tranny to the aftermarket cooler. i know a lot of people say its bad because you need it hooked up to the radiator also to help heat the fluid back up(or atleast thats what i've heard). But how bad is it really? |

Re: tranny cooler???
My trans cooler has allways been hooked up straight to the trans for many yr's. without any problems.
Everyone has there own theroy on whats correct and not, so i think it's just something you need to decide on how to set it up and just do it like that. For the way most people on here use thier trucks it's not gonna be a problem. But if you use the truck to pull heavy trailers and haul large heavy loads in the bed then you may want to hook it in series with the rad cooler. |

Re: tranny cooler???
i have a tranny cooler that goes for the tranny to the aftermarket cooler that sit in front of the radiator. so if you look through my grill youll see a cooler then a radiator. cooler is on the passanger side and takes up ablut 1/3 the space the radator does. The truck runs cool and so does the tranny so im happy.
