So how hard is it to replace a heater core on a '63 C-10?
I've got a '63 with the deluxe heater controls. The heater core took a dump on me yesterday. Besides the new heater core and some antifreeze, do I need to buy some new hardware too? I haven't had time to take anything apart. Is it a horrible job, or something a normal person with basic tools can accomplish?
Thanks for any help. |

Re: So how hard is it to replace a heater core on a '63 C-10?
Is the heater unit under the dash or in the engine compartment? They were differnt in 63 for some reason.. If it is in the engine compartment like in a 64-66 then it is easy.. Just remove the small screws on the top of the unit and remove the lid and you will see the core.. If it is under the dash then I can honestly say I don't know seeing I have never really looked at one..
