Finally finished splicing one wheel well.
So after about 10 hours of work I finally have one spliced bad that I still have one to go. Sorry about the pics, darn camera phone. Still have to grind off the welds and drill the mounting holes but for the most part done. I had to cut the darn thing in a couple places to get it to match and flat on top because it wanted to pucker on me. Body work is sooooo much fun.
Then I tried to dry fit the new doors. The tops are leaned in for some odd reason(window frame) and they are Goodmark, I figured they'd be better than that. The rest of the door lines up with the lip for the seal good just the dang tops. Anyone have any ideas???

Looks to me like you are doing a fine job. I wish I had tires big enough to fill a set of those...

Re: Finally finished splicing one wheel well.
Any tips for someone who wants to try this? I have an extra set of tubs and I want to widen mine.

Re: Finally finished splicing one wheel well.
Nice job they look just like mine right down to the releaf cuts! As for the doors they all need some fine tuning on the window tops. If it is not much you might be able toe use a block of wood between the cab and wintow top and push it closed very slowly while checking for fit. If that does not work or if it needs alot then you will need to drill out the welds and re-set it the way you want it to be.

Re: Finally finished splicing one wheel well.
I'll take some better quality and detailed pics on the other side. Give me a couple weeks.
