83 getting a new life

well finally decided id put some money into my 83, think ive got maybe 50.00 bucks in parts into it since i bought and driven it for over 2 years. since i got married i either drive wifes car or my company truck and my c10 hasnt left my driveway for about 3 months, till 2 weeks ago. took it for a spin and all the lil things that were wrong with it that i didnt think was a big issue before completely annoyed me now. pulled the original 370k 305 and put in a rebuilt 350. truck always pulled to the left so all new ball joints, tie rod ends, etc have been ordered. now heres my question, iam debating on going with one of them bolt in crossmembers that use mustang 2 parts. i forget manufacter, seen it in sport truck mag (fat man fabrication maybe). i was wondering if anyone has this set up?

Re: 83 getting a new life

What exactly are you looking to gain with a bolt in IFS? Are you going to bag it, or just go as low as you can with static drop?

I suggest you take a look at the crossmember Nathan Porter is offer. It's called the "Dropmember" and you can read a ton of info about it in the suspension forum or go here-Porterbuilt Streetrods

Re: 83 getting a new life

Your probably thinking of the Jim Meyer bolt in IFS kit for 60-87 Chevy trucks.
