Can you buy a new 70 grill with Chevrolet script?
I've looked in several catalogs and have seen no 69/70 grills with Chevrolet script. Are they available?

You can get them from your local GM dealer. But all the 69/70 are a little different then the orginal if you are fussy about things like that.

I have a 69, I've seen as much as $ 100.00 differnance in the with or without script. If its repo anyway why pay more $$$ so GM can get a cut of the $$$$??? Most folks know what year our trucks is anyway. And that goes for tailgates too, with or without. Just my humble and tight opinion

You could do what I did. Buy the repro without lettering and buy the lettering kit. Simply stick on the letters and unless you have an expert looking, no one will know but you. The original GM units are not cheap! Come to think about it, the repro's aren't cheap either! This is one part that will make a drastic change on your truck though. It makes heads turn.
See mine to the left <-----

Chevrolet sells them, if you dont mind dropping $350 on a grille. The outside grilles are identical, it is the inner plastic egg crates which vary from 69-70. I got mine from a local dealer. I was surprised how much stuff they had, over the counter.
