Help with 1987 3/4 ton chevy

I am getting a 1987 3/4 ton Chevy that needs a ton of work done to it. My plans are restoring it all for the most part. I guess i need help on what I should work on first? I have been told the engine and the drive train.... is that what you guys would look and fix first?

Re: Help with 1987 3/4 ton chevy

if it runs and drives desent...i'd go with these guys...brakes steering and suspension......but i would also do the major body work too before getting into the engine and transmission.....my brother is going though a truck right now and we are saving the engine and tranny for last....but they are both in pretty good shape too...

Don't feel bad, My plans have changed so many times I lost count.
You will find or see better ways of doing something or more things to add and I'll bet nearly everyone on here has changed their plans also.

Good Luck with your project and post some pics. when you can.
