Ram horn exhaust info needed.
Anyone have good pictures of ramhorn manifolds installed on there 2wd? I’m looking to see if I’m going to have any clearance issues with my frame or starter. How low will the exhaust run? I have Hedman ceramic coated shorties now and they run a little too close to my frame for my taste, although I like the fact that they tuck up nice and tight. I’m I going to get the same results with the ram horns? I need the exhaust to not drag when I install my air bags. Are there different types of ram horn manifolds or are they all the same?

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
is it easy to route the exhaust and still keep it from hanging down too low? What should I expect to spend on these manifolds?

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
Will I need to buy the flange the connects the exhaust pipes the the manifolds or do you think the exhaust shops usually stock those?

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
I think it should be available at the muffler shops, but don’t know for sure.
I have a question on the manifold bolts. Does anyone suggest a type or brand? Or just get any bolt that’s long enough? s/t

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
I'd do some shopping around. I paid $85 for one from O'Reilly, that one is $70. I've seen them on E-Bay and other places for $29. The're all made in China anyway unless you get the custom made ones.

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
Get the stud kit from your local parts store. The nuts are brass and won't rust to the stud. Put some anti-sieze on the studs as well. I use the copper anti-sieze, may not be the desired product but I get it from work. I would just buy used and have them blasted. To me the old cast is better than the import stuff. My .02

Re: Ram horn exhaust info needed.
Have you considered the Corvette 2.5" ramhorns? They are very free flowing and offer performance almost as good as shorty headers. There was a guy that was selling them in the classified forum.
Here's what we did on my 77 Cheyenne.
