wheelbase question

Crews, Crew70, AlaskaMan, and anyone else who has a crew cab or has Fabbed one, I want to build a 4x4 crew cab. Can you guys give me some wheelbase numbers. I want to put a short fleet bed on it. I've got a Suburban body to start hacking on. Is the easiest (and best) way to mod a 4X4 suburban frame of what? Anyone who has done this please forward me some info. Many thanks and wish me luck.

the book says that they added 42 inches to it. that would make it
167 inch wheel base.
I started building one out of a suburben and I added a chunk of frame and then an extra plate thlength of the frame that is striat.
thats how they did my factory one to .

nice 4x4 crewcab

A member named 72crew (no space) lives in Bend, OR and was building the nicest black crewcab you will ever see. He posted here a bunch but last I heard he was taking on a new business venture building pickup campers and was going to be too busy (Purs you might remember guy/truck). His name is Mark and his old email (not sure if it works anymore) is StorchM@beavermotorcoaches.com

You must promise to share what you get from him with the rest of us with his permission of course.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Many thanks Cheyenne 10. I will try it and let you guys know. And yes, I think I remember the truck, very very cool. I've got the picture on a different computer.
