Re: gmc owners
Current thinking is there is about 1 GMC for every ten chevies, at least as far as production numbers on the 67-72's, should be similar for the early 60's too.

Re: gmc owners
pretty obvious
64 1000 series shortstep (don't mind the username ) Its a 64 w/ 63 VIN tag. speaking of rarity, your truck is a leaf spring right? That seems very common in GMCs, likewise you don't see too many chevies w/ leafs. Last edited by 19GMC63; 08-24-2007 at 05:31 PM. |

Re: gmc owners
GMC's were leaf spring setups from 63 on. Just one of the differences between GMC and Chevy at that time.

Re: gmc owners
1966 3/4 here. I am building it now. Leaving it 8 lug, 351 V6. Drop coils in front, Out back I am going to use a new main leaf and a few refurbished old leaves with a drop shackle and air bags. Trying to decide right now to C the frame or not. The engine, frame and front suspension and brakes are about done, working on the rear now. Then fuel cell , electrics and body/paint. And a few hundred other things.
