gas tank strap installation question
I removed the first of my two gas tanks, and started fooling around with re-assembly until I realized that I don't know how to install the straps. The used set of brackets that I bought have 3 holes that line up with the 3 holes in the straps. From what I can tell from the badly rusted original brackets and strap remnants, it looks like there are 3 large rivets that hold the strap to the bracket. How do I attach the new ones? It doesn't seem like there's enough room to slide a nut or bolt in there to fasten these things.

Re: gas tank strap installation question
There is room enough for nuts and bolts to go through it just be sure to use some lock nuts on the bolts so they don't loosen up on you from engine/road vabrations.
