Disposing of used Antifreeze?

I know of alot of places that will take my used oil but I've never heard of anyone taking back used antifreeze. What's the proper way to dispose of this stuff. I know it's poisonous to people and animals. What do you guys do with your old antifreeze?

I have run auto parts stores for years, and none I have run take back A/F. Google Search your town for a/f disposal. See if that works. Jerry

Some auto service stations have a recycling truck that comes around to dispose of this stuff, you might want to try your local garage.

I usually do shots on FRI and Sat's nights but after that the left over antifreeze I usually take to my Local AUTO HOBBY SHOP , there they have a Bin thats for anti freeze only.

But I'm in the military and not everyone can go to there Local Auto Hobby Shop

In all seriousness. Our shop had it taken away. I know another gentleman that works for Wynn's and they recycle it. You don't have to worry about pets drinking any of the new stuff as it has bitters added to it. It is called embittered. If you don't know what a bitter additive is, put a drop on your tounge of the new antifreeze. You will want to wash your mouth out with gas. People often joke about feeding the neighbors pets. 20 years ago I did get rid of the annoying dog that made me pick up my trash over and over again with a bowl, a steak bone, and some green stuff. Now I just shoot them so not to be cruel.....

I hope you find somewhere to dump the antifreeze properly. Here in B.C. we're lucky. I'm pretty sure the law is that if you sell the stuff, you have to be prepared to take it back as well, for proper disposal. Same deal with oil, ATF, etc.
