Crooked dealer alert!
Look at the odometer reading pic on these two auctions and tell me this sheister isn't stretching his story. One of these auctions is current, the other is a completed auction.

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
It's weird that he changed so much out. Different motor, tranny, wheels, gauges, cluster, etc. Even a different color top.
They do appear to have the same VIN though. Either that, or he took a picture of the first ones paperwork and included it in the second one's auction. First edit: Now that I look at it again, both ads claim 66,000 miles. I think in the second one, he added a tach dash, and showed the original cluster to help back up the 66,000 miles. All in all it's really weird. Second edit: I think it's legit. I think he added all that crap in the first auction, it didn't sell, so he started to bring it back to stock. Does it have 66,000 miles? Maybe, maybe not. That's tough to prove on any old vehicle. No matter what the true story is, the man sure likes his exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
Something is definitely up. Two different pics of the cluster with different mileage on the current auction. The ended auction speedometer pics have the same exact mileage as the current auction. hmmmm, Is it the same vehicle relisted?

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
The one with the white top already sold. I think he's just showing the same speedo for each auction. Hey check it out here's the original speedo I took out, low miles, cool huh? Yeah both the blazers are sweet but I think he's trying to scam people about them being low mileage.

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
There are problems then. If you look at the paperwork for the second Blazer, the paperwork he shows has the same VIN as the first Blazer he listed. I can make the VIN out on everything but the Protectoplate.

I don't know about Alabama but isn't that a felony in most states?

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
I emailed the owner. He replied that they are the same Blazer. He returned it back to original (or close to original) and is trying to resell it again. He said that the previouis bidder didn't come up with the money. If that story is true, I am guessing the "previous bidder" was a friend bidding the Blazer up for him, and the price didn't get high enough.

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
From 1st ad, "THE BODY HAS NEVER HAD ANY RUST OR ANY PANELS CHANGED OR CUT, IF YOU FIND ANY RUST OR METAL THAT HAS BEEN CUT OR CHANGED YOU CAN SEND THIS TRUCK BACK TO ME.....THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS AND NO WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS ON DEPOSIT."
So if you find rust or a replaced panel you can take it back, but no refunds? 1st ad, "I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR OVER 14 YEARS." 2nd ad, "I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 10 YEARS, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY RUST ON THIS TRUCK EVER." Oh and the rust claim again. If no panel needed to be replaced or there was no rust ever then how was $40,000 invested in the Blazer? Still a nice Blazer! |

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
I honestly would rather buy one like mine (I have bought 4 or 5 in this same condition), because I can see what is wrong and no one is pullin wool, if you know what I mean?

Re: Crooked dealer alert!
I'd rather have one that was rust free, but I know exactly what you mean. I just got done replacing most of the rear of my 66 chevelle and when I tell someone how much it cost, the always ask my why I didn't just buy a chevelle without rust. It takes a while to explain the difference between a car that you know has no rust and one that you hope has no rust.
