How old are you????

I'm just curious as to what age range these trucks draw... I just turned 21 in August and I bought my truck from my dad a little over a year ago. He owned it about 2-3 months after he bought it from the original owner of 40+ years. I have seen at least one person younger than me but I just like to know a little about the people on my forums!

Re: How old are you????

I'm 39. Got my first 72 SWB 4x4 when I was 18 from my Dad. He had had it as long as I could remember. I think he bought it used in 72 with 9K miles on it. A few years ago I restored a 72 2WD long bed, factory air, orange and white Cheyene. Wish I stil had that one. Right now my daily driver is a 2WD SWB 71 and I'm building a 66 step.

Re: How old are you????

I will soon be 43. I bought my first 4-5-6 Chevy truck in 1981 at the age of 16. It was a black 1965 Chevy C10 lwb fleetside with a six banger and three-on-the-tree. I used it as my daily driver in high school and for my mowing business. I sold that one to my neighbor and bought a red/white cap 1966 Chevy C10 lwb fleetside in 1983. That one took me through the college years until it was stolen in 1988, after a new paint job was applied.

I am glad to see the younger generation is staying with the '60-'66 Chevy truck vintage. Good luck with your projects and don't forget to post pictures of your rig for everyone to enjoy.

Yeah I say that now at 44. First truck was a 1960 Apache when I was 18 or so. Maybe I was 17, Anyway. Ever since that time I wanted to do a frame off and I have and seems like I will be doing it again..

I am 36 now, and the truck was given to me last year....If that deal didn't come around, I would not have ever found this sight.

I'm 36. Bought my '64 about 7 years ago and used as a daily driver for about 3 1/2 years. It has been a "back burner" item until recently.

Re: How old are you????

Geeze...Looks like I am the old man here for now at 51. Bought my first shoe box at 16... 55 2-dr post, 4 others and a wagon since, along with a 56' step side. I've had several 71'-72's but just the one 63' which I bought in 97' as a project gone bad. Lots of Novas, Chevelles, Studes, a 35' Chev standard 3-window coupe and my 61' which I will never part with but, have always managed to keep a couple of Chevy trucks in the stalls. Not to mention My boat collection....

Gotcha ya Tripower, I'll be 55 in July. AARP has been after me for the last few years like a chicken on a junebug. Always been a GM guy, Cadillacs, Chevys, Buicks & even had a 67 Opel Kadet ralley when I was 19. Wish I had that sucker now with the price of gas these days.

Just like our music, "Oldies & Moldies"! I've got a 30 year old Nephew that calls Led Zepplin, YES, Pink Floyd, ELO, etc. "Blue hair music". There's just no accounting for taste anymore.
