Filler tube questions
The end of my filler tube is chewed up and I'm replacing it with one I'm picking up here on the board. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=276549
It shows some rust inside the neck that I want to clean out. I thought about pulling the rubber stuff off and having it sandblasted, but now I'm thinking about using a drill and wire wheel. Any ideas what to coat/paint the inside with to stop rust but not react to the gas? I don't really want to go to the expense of having it plated or powdercoated, but I also don't want it rusting again... Does anyone know how POR reacts to gas? Ideas? Thanks, Tony

Re: Filler tube questions
Eastwood has the gas tank material for coating the inside of a tank which should work well. I would also try your local radiator shop to see if they will coat the inside for a nominal price.

Re: Filler tube questions
Try using the Glyptol, that Eastwood sells for coating the inside of engines.
