Question GM Column help

Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram of the harness coming out of a GM Tilt column? I have no idea what year the column is, it was in the truck when I bought it.
thanks,
CJ

Re: GM Column help

With pictures someone can probably identify the column. from there you should be able to find the diagram you need.

Re: GM Column help

I will try and get some pics. It is a flat rectangular plug with 10 wires in it.

Re: GM Column help

Thanks for the info. I was able to get the turn signals working earlier today. Now the only problem is they won't flash when the headlights are on. It had a new wiring harness "installed" by the previous owner.

Re: GM Column help

any ideas why the turn signals stop flashing when the headlights are on or the brake lights come on?

Re: GM Column help

I would guess a bad ground. I would start looking for it at the tail lights. Take a long piece of wire. I use an old extension cord with the ends cut off. tie one end to the neg terminal of battery then the other to the rear grounds. then test to see if the problem is still there. Does all the lights work? do they all seem to be bright and even?
