Tinted windows...yay or nay?

Well, too late! This past weekend, I spent about an hour taking my tinted film out of the truck. Not really a big fan of tinted windows. Made it easy by using a heat gun.

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

Honestly on a truck like yours I think it looks 10 times better without the tint. Do you have any pictures of your interior? If you have a nice interior I think not having tint is better. Nothing like a nice clean window to look through when admiring a good looking interior.

Oh and one more thing those wheels you got put some 20s to absolute shame. Nice truck! Laterz!

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

I am a fan of the tint. I just got my '06 tinted and am very pleased. I hope to get some tint on my '86 when the time comes. A truck like yours looks good either way

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

When ever I see a truck or rod with tinted windows I always think they are trying to hide a ratty interior. To make a truck look clean as hell those windows need to c-l-e-a-r as hell.

Tinted windows on older vehicles looks like crap IMO, it isn't soo bad on newer however. Classics shouldn't have tinted windows.

Actually that is completly backwards if you have a really nice interior you want to have tint to prevent the damaging effects of the suns uv rays from destroying it.

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

For me it depends on the vehicle... some vehicles look great with tint and other don't, plus there's personal preference.

On a show truck like yours, you can pull off the clear windows.

Maybe it is the orange color?

Tint +1.I like the back window limo tint dark, side windows med. .Just last weekend removed my back glass and tinted it.Easier out of the truck. And here in Florida a vehicle without tint is no fun to drive during the day.

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

I like tint with certain colors. My truck is black and i think black car/trucks look good with really dark windows. That said i am not a fan of purple tint on any car. To me tint is two face. I like the look on certain cars and with certain body colors. But i am not a fan of driving with tint at night or when trying to hook up a trailer at night. Then u gotta roll down the window just to see your mirrors. I do like the old gasser tint such as the pee yellow or bright red. But again it only looks right on certain cars. tint can make the body really pop and has some good beinfits in the hot sun.

Your truck looks good in both. But i kinda like the see threw

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

Gots ta have the tent... 15% on the side glass and 5% on the rear.......Looks gangster ridding around with black windows rolled down just far enough where you can see the top of my head lol. EXCEPT 4x4s that see alot of off road time.. its hard enough to see out of tinted windows let alone covered with mud.

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

The only trouble with tint is you have to roll the window down to flip somebody off.
Sweet looking truck either way.

Re: Tinted windows...yay or nay?

If you want to keep it nice you should go with some uv tint it almost clear but blocks a ton of uv light.their using it mostly for high end house with 30,000 dollar coaches and stuff.I'm sure you can get some somewhere. IMHO I like the clear.
