671 Blower?
How hard is it to install a small block with a 671 blower under the hood of a 55-59?

Re: 671 Blower?
One of the plusses of these trucks is the amount of room under the hood. Every one I've ever seen with one goes in with no problems.

It looks like Bob's pro-street you would not be able to close a hood the engine. Maybe without the scoop, but it looks like it would be real close. Any other pics?

Re: 671 Blower?
I was going to go with a Weiand street blower on mine. Measured out just fine with lots of room. Didn't go with it because I didn't have enough room between the harmonic balancer and the rad for the lower blower pulley. Is the 671 much bigger than a street blower? If you can find the dimensions of them, then you have something to compare.

Re: 671 Blower?
You are correct, I have a hood cut out to allow the "hat" to protrude through it. However, I have raised my motor up as much as possible. If you are still at the stock height I believe it will clear with no problem. Of course it depends on what you top your carbs off with. I am thinking about changing to the EFT on the blower, then it will close with all sorts of room if you wanted to run a hood. My preference is to run without the hood. Hell, that stuff is just too pretty to cover up.........
