rolling stock
Hey guys I have a 72 K5 mostly original, I was going to make it over as a 2wd. Does anybody know if axles out of a 70's pickup will slide in and work with the original pumkin on the blazer...Thanks Ed

I am not sure about the axles fitting into a housing, but you should be able to get a complete rear assembly hub to hub for $100 to $150 and bolt it right in.

Welcome to the board from Seattle. Post some pics when you get a chance and be sure to document the transformation.

BOUNCYTRUCK.. Thanks for the 2wd convertion link that answers alot of my questions I have a doner frame/rolling stock that should work, I was hoping to leave the leaf springs. But it would be better to go all the way and make it right....

You can use the leafs. Board member LivRat has converted a dozen or so over the years. He said he's done both leaf and trailing arms. I'd go with tailing arms or a 4-link system, especially if you're gonna bag it.
If I ever have the time, my '72 might get converted. I'd love to see you're process.

As with everybody else too much going on not enuff time. I have a lot of parts to sand blast and (maybe powder coat) try something new. I have a running 62 panel truck that I restored 15 yrs ago now needs repainted after body work. I hope to get back on the Blazer this year, 2 yrs ago new poly gas tank, electronic distributor, demon 650 carb crossfire manifold look nice but it doesn't run any better. The beat goes on....
