Re: Brake question?

I'm assuming you bled the brake lines?
That might be a reason......

Is it stock brakes?

If someone upgraded and did it wrong, it nmight not work at all....

good luck

Re: Brake question?

Are they adjusted properly? Try pulling up on the parking brake right before they grab and see if that makes the pedal better. If it dose the brakes will need to be adjusted more and if not you might still have air in the lines so try bleeding them again.

I would check the brake adjustment first...then re-bleed.

I usually set-up my brakes with a "one turn drag". Basically, tighten the adjuster all the way tight (this centers the shoes in the drums) then back-off a tooth at a time untill you get a slight drag which gives you a 1 to 1 1/2 turns on the wheel when you spin it....Applying the foot brake helps center things up too.

My 63' needs it brakes re-adjusted as well, now that I think about it
