crankin' up the 454

Just got it running last week. Still have several things to get done before I can drive it, but it's getting close.

Thanks.

It's a 1999 Vortec 7400 that I picked up on Houston craigslist complete with 4l80e trans and full wire harness. Paid $1500 for the complete setup. I decided to ditch the fuel injection, at least for now, for simplicity and to get it running more quickly. So I put on a Edelbrock Performer intake and an old Q-Jet I had laying around. The trans will be controlled with a TCI trans computer.

I will do a build thread when I get it a little more 'complete'.

Thanks Kenny.

Yours is looking great. Doesn't look like you have much left to do. Fire that puppy up and post a vid.

Yep, the '86 SWB lowered 3/5 with DJM control arms and flip kit.

I still need to hook the hydroboost to the brake pedal. Have to fab up an adjustable pushrod to do that. Then install the master cylinder and bleed the brakes. Also have to figure out how to mount a TPS to the Q-Jet so I can finish the trans controller.
