First Project Truck
I bought my first project truck last night. Its a 68 lwb with 250 three speed in the floor. Trucks in pretty good shape for Missouri daily driver. Floor pans and rockers have no rust, I'll have to replace the passenger cab corner and some other minor body patches. I have a 350 im gonna stroke followed by a 700R4. Really exited about the project so is my son.

When you go to post, at the top over the place where you type there is a little picture of a mountain, click on it and you can add photos. You might have to resize them, or you can open an account at www.photobucket.com and post your pics from there...

Great. Can't wait to see it.
Welcome to the board from Colorado! You can also post pics by clicking the Go advance button, and clicking on the paper clip icon. This will allow you to upload a properly sized pic to the forum.

Re: First Project Truck
Welcome from Southeast Missouri.
You got a real good deal when you bought it for $500. Good luck with your new project. Don't hesitate to post questions or ask for help because this is a great site with a bunch of knowledgeable people, not including me though I am still learning. Danny |

Re: First Project Truck
Great looking project. If you want to drive it while you prep your new motor and tranny I suggest you clean it up a bit.Driving it will also help you determine the issues you want to deal with during the build.
I cleaned mine with an SOS pad and some water and made it much cleaner and more of a pleasure to drive.

Re: First Project Truck
I will probably drive it every once in a while but I have a take home vehicle with my job so I don't really drive my POV's much. I will probably yank the bed off and start on it that way I can drive it if I have to.
Thanks for all the suggestions. My end goal is to have a sleeper not sure if I'm gonna make it a swb or leave it long. |
