WTB; Fleetside wood bed side angles
If any one has a 8' wood bed with dented up bedsides, I need the angle strips that are bent from the inner bedside. This is the area that the wood bed bolts to from the tailgate to the front bed panel on each side. I would like to have about 2" above the bend so I can do a clean weld. Partial pieces could be used in a pinch. Let me know what you have and your asking price. Thanks for the help, Lane.

Re: WTB; Fleetside wood bed side angles
Those are for the stepside. I talked to Mar-K about it and the fleetside patches are not available so I need used parts. They don't need to be pretty, just not too rusty. Any help? I need these to finish my bed.
I think that the bedsides for the steel floor are the same as the wood floor so the flange area should be the same. Last edited by rlm316; 05-24-2008 at 05:02 PM. Reason: additional info |

I think it would be easier to just get a piece of metal cut and broke. Same gauge of course.

Re: WTB; Fleetside wood bed side angles
I got a set for my fleetside from Horkies in Minn. Can't remember the cost right now.(cheap) Great folks to deal with. Someone here has their web address. Check them out. (Not at home. On the road, using a laptop.) Oh yea, they're already pre-drilled.

Re: WTB; Fleetside wood bed side angles
That would be the ones. You'll have to measure so the lip will be at the same from the top of the box down to the lip. Cut off the old and weld on the new. Smooth as needed. Saves buying a bedside.
Found their website: http://www.horkeyswoodandparts.com/index.html Hope this helps?

Re: WTB; Fleetside wood bed side angles
Thanks for all the replies! I would imagine that shipping would be high for the full bedsides. Who would deal with these besides a trucking freight co.? I'm trying to keep the costs down as much as possible on this build ( 2kids, 2 jobs and 1 wife that can spend like 10, haha) Thanks again, Lane
