Where to get window felt and weather stripping?
I need to replace the window felt in the truck - both door windows. Can someone help me out? From what I can tell, I need a channel strip for the top and sides, and another section for the bottom? I went to a few parts stores here but they didn't have anything.
If there's a kit I can buy, great! The only thing I found was this and I'm not sure it's right: Door Belt Window Channel

People are going to hate on them, but LMC will have what you need. http://www.lmctruck.com/

Re: Where to get window felt and weather stripping?
I have also been looking around for a kit to do all my weather stripping...
Every once and awhile you will catch a complete kit on Egay... Im most likely going to order through LMC or Classic Industries... Thats the next step on my build...... Last edited by hessian18; 05-24-2008 at 03:08 AM. |

You know I was just thinking I didn’t step out of line posting it like that did I? I don’t work for them or anything, just trying to be helpful.

Re: Where to get window felt and weather stripping?
I just got done putting the felt in on the driver door, looks great, a little stiff though. I put in the new regulator and rubber in about an hour. It took about 2 hours to get the old rubber out. If you’re going to do it I recommend a thin, long straight blade screw driver. I really wish I could have found mine.

Re: Where to get window felt and weather stripping?
Another vote for classic parts of americahttp://www.classicparts.com/products...t_on=&sort_by= I bought my weatherstripping from them for my 77 and 87 and everything fit as well as OEM, as best I can tell. I bought the lower outer window stripping for my 78 from classic parts and it fit BETTER then the OE parts that came on the truck new.

Re: Where to get window felt and weather stripping?
Sweet!
I ordered a set of door felt and window channel, as well as replacement rubber for the window vents at American Classic Truck Parts, since they had everything in stock. The guy on the phone was really nice and really took care of me. So I should see something in a week or so, and hopefully I'll be able to roll my window down soon.
