Re: Bench Seat Help
60/40's came ina lot of newer stuff. My 06 has one...
What year's your truck? If it's an older model (73-87) you could find a newer model seat and do some work on the seat braces...... BTW, I notice I'm just up the raod from you. Any decent junkyards over by Hop-town?

Re: Bench Seat Help
there were 60/40 in any of the years that had the club cab truck they are plentiful and most any full size pickup seat can be made to fit as long as you can fabricate brackets for them

Re: Bench Seat Help
I got mine out of a 98 extra cab at the local junkyard not too long ago for $250. I haven’t put it in yet because I have to make the brackets for it. If you can’t fabricate or weld it could be a little difficult and expensive. I do have my old bench with no split I’ll be selling if you’re interested. It’s in good shape accept for a tare in the butt on the driver side, I was thinking like $100 plus ship. Not trying to change your mind just offering.

Re: Bench Seat Help
I'm guessing you want the 60/40 for the arm rest.
I'm sure you can find a bench seat locally if you decide to go that route. In fact, I could give you some ideas where to look for the bench. Don't forget about the extra seat belts if yours are missing from the buckets. I roll through Oak Grove pretty regularly also. I'm one of those retired military guys, so I'm in Ft Campbell once a month or so. Good luck with the seat search.

Re: Bench Seat Help
My buddy has a 90s pickup. He didn't swap the seat, but he wanted it higher so he re-mounted it on blocks of wood. I wouldn't have thought that was strong enough, but it's been like that for years. It's through bolted with grade 8 bolts. Chances are, only one or two spots won't match your existing floorboard. If you don't have access to welding gear, maybe you could make up the difference in the shape of the floor with a wood block, and some good grade 8 hardware, through bolted with big washers.

I think that the seats with the head rest started in 91 or 92.

Re: Bench Seat Help
Just last weekend, I installed the 60/40 out of a '96 Silverado into my '85 K20.
I had to remove the '96 brackets, and fabricate a frame to adapt the seat to the '85 slide mechanism. Because the seat back is thicker, and the seat portion is deeper, I did have to mount it a little more forward than I wanted to get a comfortable seat back angle. Came out good, though. I will get some installed pictures if you need them. I really like the feel of the '96 seats compared to the '91-'94 models.
