Re: Stock buckets and console
So where can you pick up a center console with the cup holders? Sure would like to find a black one.
Thanks.

Re: Stock buckets and console
I have a bench seat at the moment and it is not comfy on long trips.
Can anyone give me advice for converting to two ultra comfortable bucket seats and a very useful centre console please? I have an early 72 Chev Cheyenne K20. I would prefer to not have headrests. |

Re: Stock buckets and console
They are great... is that what the originals look like?
I am not so keen on the colour but I love the pattern. Are they comfortable and where can I get a set? While I am at it... where is the best place to get original and after market parts? I am in Australia so I need to know they will ship. |

Re: Stock buckets and console
yep those are originals...you'll just have to shop around to find a set. I got mine from a fellow boardmember and my truck was stollen before i could get em mounted....i'm not sure your gonna find a store that sells all of the parts...

Re: Stock buckets and console
The '73 - up consoles had the cupholders. Otherwise they are the same as the correct ones for these trucks. I prefer them myself just for the practicality of them, even though they aren't correct.

Re: Stock buckets and console
The whole top 1/2 of the console tub is a different moldinng between the cup holder and seatbelt types. On the seatbelt style the ashtray/bickle slots are molded as part ot the top 1/2.With the cupholder style the cupholder part is seperate from the top 1/2.

Re: Stock buckets and console
I thought the cup holders started in like 76 or 77. I think that the seat belt style is worth more, but a cup holder would be nice.

Re: Stock buckets and console
Correct, they started in`76.You can convert, but it`s the whole top 1/2.Might as well just get the console you want.
Hey Larawild,I see you`ve gotten no answers. For buying parts check out the vendors list on the home page. Most will ship. Here in the states I`d suggest buying shipped items from the closest vendor. But,your parts would be flown so I doubt it matters much. But,there are west coast vendors that sponsor this site. For comfy seat that are non-original,you most likely will need to do some converting, but very possible to do.

Re: Stock buckets and console
Thanx Tim,
I am online now trying to buy 93 parts... I am a visual person and I want at least pictures. Guess we will have to wait and see if I got the right bits. |
