Lowered with Rallys .

I bolted my 18 inch TT2's on the black truck to try to get it photoshopped so I put these on the tan truck till I swap them back . I just thought I would post the pic of the tan truck with them on it .

That sure is a nice truck, Frank...

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

Drop specs? The wheels and stance are perfect for my DD on my roads... not too low, not silly high, just right. Will still go in mild snow. Love the way the tires fill the openings to the top without disappearing. Perfect.

Ahh.. I see in your other post it's 2.5/4 drop. What size tires are you running on the Ralleye's? Because that's the stance I want for mine!

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

I personally can't stand raised white letter tires, but they just look sooooo right on your truck. Your center caps look pristine too.

Actually, the wheels he had on it are the only wheels over 15s that I like.

Yes Sir it is a 2.5/4 drop and the tires are 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rears . I figured I had better bolt the 18 inch TT2's on the black truck to see what they looked like before I sold the tan one and put these on the tan one to hold it up . I actually like the look of the rallys on the tan truck . It had rallys before but wasnt lowered and the tires were 255/70/15's . The drop and shorter tire really looks different .

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

Frank knows I love this truck despite it's modest understated appearance. The TT's really brought the girl to life.

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

How did you lower the front of your truck. I am planning on installing 2.5 drop spindles on my 87 GMC and want to run the factory rally wheels. I have been told that I can't do this because the wheels will rub inside the lower a-arm.
Thanks

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

i like the way rallies look but there is no comparison for aftermarket wheels, 15s just dont do it for these truck. Besides 15" tires are just as much as buying 20s.

They will rub with 3" spindles, but not with the 2.5" spindles. I am running 2.5" and 8" rally wheels with no clearance issues. Well, I guess I should say that you will need to bend your brakelines a little to get them to clear.

Re: Lowered with Rallys .

Old Yellow , Slonaker is correct on the drop . I used Western Chassis spindles on the front and the drop leafs in the rear so there was no cutting involved . The truck also rode very nice with the drop suspension .
