from pegleg to 2wd or even 4x4
Ok I have an 80 gmc 1/2 ton with a pegleg 12 bolt what do i need and how hard would it be to go posi? add a locker and new gears? also if i wanted to go as far as making it a 4 wheel drive.errr..... If I found a doner truck how hard could it be? my truck is in good shape but i"m tierd of getting stuck in winter so would it be worth the trouble or should i move on to a newer 4x4.

I took a nice 2wd and put it on a 4wd frame. It was nice to have a doner truck that had a bad body. I had a perfect body and I took my time cleaning and replacing everything on the 4wd frame before I put the body on.

theres a ton of threads on this, i have two pictures of what you have to do to the cab floor for the swap. Im planning on doing it to my 77 2wd, pending if i find a nice 3/4 4x4 frame
