Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
Does anyone have some pics of a K5 or Burban bumper on a C10 and are the mounts any different?

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
Sorry I meant to say the rear bumper. I found a suburban bumper with brackets at the wrecking yard and i was wondering if it would bolt right up to the truck.

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
You can bolt it up just using the outer brackets. The inner brackets are different since the frame sticks out more on suburbans.

Thanks. Does anyone happen to have a picture of what they look like on these trucks?

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
Have you do a search? This has to be the most popular question on here recently. this is the 3rd thread this week. Look a couple posts down.
As said above, ONLY the outer bumper mounts will work on a pickup. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=304229 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=303287 BTW they aren't Blazer/Suburban bumpers on a truck, they are the factory bumpers offered on all of these trucks, just MOST trucks came without bumpers and the dealership put step bumpers on them.

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
Here is a pic of a blazer rear bumper mounted up to my 76 C10. When I first put it on I was using only the outer brackets. I was rear ended at a stop light(fortunately not very hard) but I decided their insurance can buy me the inner brackets from LMC and a new bumper. So now I am only using the inner and eventually need to mount up the outers.

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
while on the subject, will a bumper from a full size van fit a pick up, and are they the same or close enough to look right ?

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
Actually, a ford e-series van rear bumper might work. I'm not sure of the overall length of it and you would have to fab some brackets for it. The fact that it doesn't show the bolts (smoothie) caught my attention.

Re: Blazer Or Suburban Bumper on a Truck
And you would have to find a place to mount your license plate...
