Holy crap. I'm glad you got paid. It is a weird feeling to see that much cash all at once though. Hopefully you can buy another one and start over. Later, Mario

Re: Gone ...

I get that every so often. I always say its not for sale. They say everythings for sale for the right price so I say a high price and then they walk away. Except for one time four years ago at a Good Guys show in pleasanton A guy asks what would it take to buy it so I reply with what usually makes them walk away $35,000 He starts looking closer, he gets on his cell phone. Mean while I start feeling like I'm having a anxiety attack and I tell my wife I don't want to sell it. So I tell her if he is serious I will tell him I would have to think about it. When he came over to talk about it he offered $30,000 so it was easy to say no deal. I could never sell my Blazer Its like part of the family so now I tell them $60,000

Re: Gone ...

Dang, that was a cool K5 - good luck finding your next project.

Somehow, I just don't think that will ever happen to me with my K5 - it's just ratty enough that I doubt anyone will ask me what my price is.

Dang Kevin, I was reaching for my check book when you said $35,000. $60,000 is more what I expected. If I ever win the lottery, I'll be knockin on your door...

Re: Gone ...

It may be totally legit, but a young guy walking around with that kind of cash smells like drugs. Dealers will buy higher priced used cars for cash so they can resell. Money laundering. The loss they take, if any, on resell is less than the regular money laundering "fees". Wondering how I know? I just watch too much TV and read too much crap online. Beer is my drug of choice with an occassional screw driver or marguarita.

Re: Gone ...

Glad you have no shame. 20K is a fine price, and like what was already said, I'm sure the K5 was worth it.

Sweet deal for sure but do you have any regrets?

Re: Gone ...

when I first got it a year and a half ago
My 13 yr old boy told my wife "its a hunk of junk mom "
I did most of the work at my workplace so the the next time he saw it was back from paint, a week in the garage and I had most of the moldings on.
Then I get a call from him "dad can you pick me up from school" ?
"In the Blazer" ???
