Hello from North Idaho
Hi all,
I'm Brian from North Idaho signed up a few days ago. I live in North Idaho and can be found in Asia for some of the year also. I do like old cars and trucks Unlike some others with a old car or truck or so. I drive my cars and trucks as daily drivers rain snow dirt road what ever. My current car trucks are a 1954 Chevy belair 2 door car that I'm now putting in a 5 speed and open drive line behind the stock 235 motor. A 1964 Chevy k10 with factory 4X4 that I put in a 353 Detroit to the stock running gear almost a bolt in. My newest just got it truck is a 1966 C70 with a 653 Detroit, air brakes, power steering, 5 speed close ratio main , 3 speed axillary Low/direct/over and a 2 speed rear. Plan for this truck is a 5th wheel puller. I own no newer cars or trucks , I owned lots of other classic cars and trucks some from show room mint to needing paint or more. But narrowed it down to a few . I'm glad to be here and hope to see some of you and your trucks/cars. Brian Last edited by MotelCambodia; 09-13-2008 at 10:22 AM. |

Re: Hello from North Idaho
thanks to all for the welcomes
here is a youtube of my 66 C70 6v53 a few gear grinds the rear end was still cold and shifting a little slow. It much better shifting when all is warmed up. I'm still trying to find out why shifting 3rd with high rear end to 4th with low rear end cancels it self out. when shifting with the 2 speed rear end. I know 4th and 5th you shift them 2 times 4th low 5th low to 4th high 5th high. at the end of the video i shift the AUX trans from direct to OD and then down shift it back to D then to OD take a look at my video. here is the place it can be found just add the w w w to go directly to my youtube page it loads faster youtube.com/watch?v=EnN1i9LjAw0 Last edited by MotelCambodia; 11-17-2008 at 06:57 PM. |
