Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

I was looking at trying one of these to monitor my bags and tank.
http://airbagit.com/product_info.php...oducts_id=1566

Has anyone used one? Any problems?

Thanks

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

I have used the Dakota Digital guage with good results. One thing thats hard to get used to is it's pretty near impossible to get a pair of bags to the same PSI without "t" ing them together. With a needle a few pounds one way or the other isn't noticable. With a digital, LR might be @ 56 and RR might be @ 48 psi. Something like that wouldn't be very noticable to the "seat of the pants" but because I can see it on the guage it used to drive me nuts. I've just learned to get over it.

Good to know. What size line / valves were you using? Mine will be relatively small, so maybe it will be easier to control. I am a bit ocd too and will probably have a hard time with it as well...

Has anyone used the particular gauge i linked to? I am just curious about build quality etc.

I would not recommend dealing with airbagit dot com for anything.

h airbagit dot com=AIM Industries and that's bad news. Please consider doing a search regarding this company before you buy from them.

I have the digital gauge from Air Ride and it works fine. I used it primarily because it would fit in my ashtray and hide when it's closed. I would do it again if it fit my application.

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

I guess to be more specific, I am referring to this particular gauge...
http://www.fbirides.com/product.asp?...ks&idno=256810

I think FBI makes it, but I don't really know. It looks like several people sell it.

I am curious as to the overall build quality.

Are the issues with airbagit dot com are customer service related?

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

To be honest its about the same quality as AIM. I have used Dakota stuff without too many issues over the years. Air Ride stuff had way too many issues, will never sell again. Air Lifts new Auto Pilot is awesome only had 1 bad unit and they overnighted a replacement.

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

I have the ART Dakota Digital unit and I like it. I love the fact that it uses senders instead of having to run air lines to the gauges, and it is accurate. And easy to hook up as well.

I think senders would be a nice feature as well.

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

Can I ask a dumb question?
If its a quad doesn't that mean 4? Not 3 or 5? Or does 3 mean 2 bags and a tank and 5 mean 4 bags and a tank?

If thats the case how can quad do 5?

Re: Digital airbag gauges - anyone used them?

The quad is for 4 wheels
The 3 is for front/rear + tank
The 5 is for full independent + tank.

Uh, trucks have 4 wheels? Hahaha, ok I'm glad I sorta paid attention in math class.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought thats what it must of meant, but sometimes the gears in the head just aren't meshing like they used to.
