Rear Hatch Window

I just inherited (so to speak) a 78 4wd Jimmy from my son. As you can see by my avatar I am more of a 67-72 guy, so I need some help on this one. Is the rear roll up window supposed to roll all the way down into the tail gate. When I crank it down it only seems to go in all but about a inch. I really dont want to break the glass and I haven't tried taking it apart yet. I will post some pics this weekend of my new toy.

Yes it should go all the way down, just the very to should stick out. You also may have some trash in it to. Just take a look at and see.

Re: Rear Hatch Window

Thanks guys. Found an old dried up tube of 3m weatherstrip adhesive blocking it from going down. Next question is there supposed to be some type of felt or rubber in the tracks inside the tailgate. Dont see any in mine
