What's this worth?

I know... a very broad question that doesn't have a right answer, but.....

My fried is trading a 99 Jeep for this truck + cash. They are having a hard time deciding what the truck is worth. Any of you guys have a ballpark figure?

the truck has a new bed, needs electrical work and interior.
283 v8
automatic (don't know what tranny)
the truck needs carb work, possibly a new carb. electrical wise c.o. messed up the dash wiring, nothing works gauges, wipers etc.
little rust on the hood and the paint is blistering at that spot, other than that the body is straight with no dents and the paint is good.

I was thinking it is worth in the $5k - $7k range based on what things are going for now and what I sold my truck for.

Not knowing how tired the motor is - I'd say $3.5 / $4k, only because it looks (body wise) so straight, other than that funny looking fur coming out of the grill.

Re: What's this worth?

$3-4K tops. Not the hardest of wiring, though still a pain in the ass, especially if somebody else has been in there screwing it all up. Assuming it runs, albeit poorly?

Otherwise basically stock? Still got drums? Powersteering? Doesn't have air...

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but if it's clean, but it doesn't run, it's not worth more than $3K. And if it runs, but needs work, it's not worth much more than that.
