Radio ?s

Hey Guys,
I'm going to buy myself a present, with a little Christmas cash I came into. I need tunes in my truck. I'm looking for a stereo that looks original, but has inputs for say cd changer, or mp3. I'll also need a couple of speakers. I don't care about cassettes, or a big sub woofer. Can one of you turn me on to the best place to get these goodies? Don't have a lot of bread here, so I'm looking to get the best deal I can.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Radio ?s

Im not remembering the name correctly, but 'Classicaudio'(?) or something makes exactly what you are looking for. They look old, fit in the factory location, and have modern features. Not sure about the prices, however.

fchava posted a link to it in another thread; Custom Autosound

Re: Radio ?s

If your willing to run a changer then why not put an amp under the seat and run a IPod thru it.

I may do that, and have a radio delete plate in the dash.

:dunno:

Tim64,

I am considering these guys.

The first radio I bought is Chinese junk, beware.

That Retrosound company sound like the ticket. Little pricey, but it's just what I want.
Thanks TR65

I have had very poor results with one of these radios. That is why I am looking to change it out. Chinese junk.

Mine works about as good as the original radio did come to think of it. But I want a modern radio in the old case.

Re: Radio ?s

Good luck finding something not made in China or that uses parts made there. I have an "older" Kenwood from CAS in my camaro that was Made in Japan.
