just bought a 59 fleetside shortbed!
i baught a 59 apache fleetside and love it! its rough but runs great! It has some rust holes but ive seen a lot worse! Its just i dont know where to start! ive never done body work! is there any good body shops or just guys that do it on the side around east texas? Ill get pics soon

Welcome. Do not be intimidated by the body work. There are plenty of detailed build threads here. Buy good tools and practice, I learned my basic skills from an old guy at the Ft. Hood hobby shop in the evening over a few weeks, after that it was just attention to detail and doing it. Good thing is these old trucks have heavy metal that is forgiving and can be worked. Have fun!

No, they came with v-8's also. they just used front motor mounts. you can use stock mounts or weld in side mounts. Would be a nice upgrade. For now, paint the wheels red, and get you some babymoons caps. with that primer it would look good.
