rims

i have a 65 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4 truck , up to what year does the rims fit our year trucks . for example ,- would a 2000 chevy/gmc trucik fit a 65 , . any input would be great . thanks

Here is a set of 1998 Chevy take-offs wheels, tires and caps from my '98 Chevy K2500 and I installed on my '66 Chevy C20 Custom Camper lwb fleetside. I purchased a set of 1/2" conversion lug nuts (threads on inside and outside) to accept the black caps on the bowtie caps.

Unfortunately, I am not able to tell you which years are interchangeable, but I know up to '98, at least.

tony ,they went on with no problem , did they have plenty of clearence in the back , also do you have a set to sell , thanks ,.

I think the more modern wheels 88-98+ have a more (negative?) offset than our wheels- the center is closer to the outside of the wheel, although as per tonys truck,it looks like they do fit

Thanks for the inquiry. They bolted up with no clearance issues. I don't have a set to sell, but I see them on craigs list frequently. You might check your area for a set. Here is a picture of the lug nuts that are required for the factory lug caps and bowtie caps to be installed properly and securely. The lugs from my '98 Chevy K2500 are 9/16" and the lugs from the '66 Chevy C20 Custom Camper are 1/2", so I had to special order a set of 32 from an online source I found on eBay. They ran about $35.00, plus shipping for the set, but they were worth it to install the factory bowtie caps, which I like better than without them.

the newer trucks have a more Positive offset. I believe this is done on the independant suspension so they can push the mounting plane out a tad to allow for slightly longer control arms and ride quality improvements.

a Negative off set is what would be typically called a deep dish or from the lowrider community "full reverse" ( think the wheels that stuck way out that were popular about 10 years ago)

ha ha so it is the negative offset wheels I like, the positive ones remind me of a front wheel drive car..... but I am a child of the 70's and 80's , and that was what was common then.

I got a set off of a chrome 08 silverado. I was going to put them on my 66lwb durring the build. I asked my local tire shop if they would fit and he said the 6 on 5.5 pattern would. I have since gone in a diff direction but they are supposed to fit.
