Long bed to Short bed

I'm going to try and get this started next month (Feb)after the 15th. I want the bed shorter but don't want it to be a full short bed. I was thinking somewhere between long and short. Any one have done this or have picks? To make a long a short what was the numbers again? it was like total 20" right? 12" front 8" rear????? please correct that if its wrong.

12" front; 8" rear is correct.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

How would 6" off front and 4" off rear look?

For me, it's one or the other..... no 'in-between'.

The only way something in between would work was if the cab was stretched a little (2-4") & the front section of the bed was shortened an equal amount.
