8-Lug Disk Brake Conversion

I am trying to convert my original dana-44 drum front to disk. I talked to a guy at Blackbirds Custom Trucks in spokane wa. and he said that it would be easiest if I do a knuckle out conversion. I found a donor 10-bolt for $150.00 and plan on taking all needed parts from it, however, I have never done any axle work and have no idea what I am doing. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with how to take it apart and other parts I might need. Pix would be a plus. Thanks in advance.

I've not done this conversion so I can't speak specifically. But, I have taken apart a Dana 60 front end. Just download a schematic of the axle. I found one at Pirate4x4 tech section and then just tear into it. It's not really that hard...maybe a bit intimidating before you start. Remember, if you ever get stuck...there are lots of guys on here who can coach you through it.

That last sentence has let me start many a project without too much trepidation.
