What to buy first!

I have a delima, I have some money and am not sure what to buy first, thinking about a small pressurized sand blaster to start clearing out the rust I have, then a decent spray gun next(already have acess to a wire feed welder) I need to clean and paint the underside first then i am going to start on the lower door sils. Any advice on some of the tools some of you other folks have found that are reasonably priced and do a good job,or even some advice on how you did your underside. I will be leaving the body on for know!

thanks in advance for any help!

Sandblasting sheet metal without messing it up is an art.... lol.... I'd take it someplace and have it done. Then maybe have the underside rubber coated. I have a small pressurized sand blaster. Its fine for small parts but a pia on about anything else, lol. If you don't already have one a big compressor makes life easier, lots of air tools, big hammers, a fridge to keep beverages close, and ya can't go wrong with sata spray gun. Good luck

Re: What to buy first!

*Good quality grinder

*1hp bench grinder

*Plasma cutter

*80 gallon/2stage/5hp Air Compressor (as mentioned already)

*Quality tool box

*A tough rugged mother of a bench

*Same as above but a vise

*Floor jack

*Jack stands (lots)

*Air tools

*Your own welder

*Shop stereo

*Engine hoist - motor stand

...where should I stop?

Re: What to buy first!

more land and a pole barn to store stuff in - once you start - you will keep finding 'deals too good to pass up'.

Ask me how I know.

Re: What to buy first!

I already own the Aircompressor, Da sander, grinders, tool box ,jack stands, floor jack, Shop radio and a fridge with cold beverages! Just aquired a wire feed welder. I believe I am going to try to get aSandblaster just for cleaning therusted areas and am going to Da sand the whole truck down. Thanks for the idea on what kind of gun to get for spraying, I read an article in one of the truck magazines that mentioned a gun set up from Summit with a case( For storage later with the rest of the stuff when I get the Pole Barn)

VT I guess from the pictures you posted a month back you might need the pole barn first in your neck of the woods!

Thanks for the Ideas, one thing is going to be first A SHED to put all the garage junk in so the blazer will fit in the garage!
