54 chevy bed height

Hello I need some help. I am currently in mockup stage of an s-10 frame swap on my 1954 chevy 3100. I have the bed and the cab mounted and I am looking for a measurement from the top of the box pannel to the back of the cab seam. Pictures should explain the request better. I have 9.25 just wondern what the correct mesurement is.

Re: 54 chevy bed height

OrrieG- it's more like a dark-haired cavewomans pube with a split end.

eventytoo- shame on me but, when I made my running board brackets and welded them to the frame. I didn't have the spash apron's mounted to the boards. So now I have a gap. I can either remove the brackets and reweld them or I can custom make the aprons and weld them to the boards making it a one piece. Or I guess I could always take the lazy way and add spacers to the mounts. Either way I F'd up...LOL

Heck thats ok. It happens to us all.

Anyone else out there with a measurement? come on I know there is a stock 54 on this board out there that could be kind enough to get me another measurement.

hey Sarge, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think since your's is a 53, it's different. I think 54 has a different bed.
I just bought a 54, but it's in a basket.

Re: 54 chevy bed height

Yeah you are right the bed is different so is the dash. But I think the cab and bed hight is the same (I think). There's a guy down the street with a 54. I'll check the hight next time I see him (I see him everyday).
