Angry Carb Question

Holley 750 vac secondaries. It's running a bit rich but seems to run good other than the secondaries. I've set the floats and made little adjustments here and there but they won't open. Throttle link too short? The gas pedal is really stiff. Any ideas?

The seconds on your 3310 wont open without a load on the eng. If memory is with me , you are running a fairly loose verter, & a mid 3 's gear? I would try running a purple spring on the diaphragm, it will open the seconds a little faster(stock spring is silver).......

There's a purple spring on there now. I guess I'm used to the Q Jet. Even when I'm getting on the Highway it seems to take a while to get going.

How do you know the secondaries arent opening ? You won't get the same "sound" out of a holley that you did out of the quadrajet when the secondaries open. On the holley there is no real noticeable change in engine tone when the secondaries open like there is on the quadrajet. Do you have the quick change kit? Theres really not much to the circuit. If your O ring between the diaphragm unit and the carb is still there you should be good to go.

You're probably right. Yesterday I put it to the floor and was taking off pretty good and I pushed down a bit harder and I felt a burst, I assumed that was them kicking in but who knows. I see myself going back to the Q Jet.
