width of AD rear axle
Does anyone know the width of a stock rear axle in a 47-54 AD truck? Are 1/2 and 3/4 tons the same width?
I know the 4wd s10 axle is one that some people use, and that's 60". I just don't know how close that is to the width of a stock one. Thanks.

Re: width of AD rear axle
I am not certain but I doubt if the 3/4 ton and half ton are the same widths. They may be really close however. If you are changing to a later model rear end there are many different choices. Take a look at this link and you will see what I mean. I can not vouch for the accuracy of this list. One should always measure a few times. Best to have a buddy or a helper along. Makes the task much easier. Good Luck!!
