79 Silverado Stock Rear Ratio? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am buying a 1979 SWB Silverado 1/2 ton with a 10 bolt corporate rear. Was there a standard rear ratio that Chevy used on these trucks? 3.07 or 2.73 are the most common, but I'm hoping for 2.73.

The most common was probably 3.08. I would say that 3.42 would be next.
